Shortlist For The 2016 EGR B2B Awards
EGR Magazine, the famous online publication dedicated to online casino and bingo news, is once again holding their annual B2B awards in which they recognise the unsung heroes of the online gambling industry – the games providers and developers who craft the games we all know and love. Any provider or developer is eligible for the reward as long as they’ve been known to have delivered exceptional customer care and innovative product development over the past 12 months. Currently, the famous industry giants Playtech, Microgaming and NetEnt (which I personally like to call the Holy Trinity of UK online gambling) are heading up the nominations, the full list of which can be found right here.
The ceremony, which is happening for the seventh year in a row, will take place on June 1st at The Pavilion at the Tower of London, which is a unique, if a bit unusual, location for such an awards show. There’s almost 40 different categories with dozens of nominees, the most interesting for me being Best Bingo Supplier (with the nominees being Bede Gaming, Dragonfish, Microgaming, NYX Gaming Group, Playtech and Relax Gaming). The aforementioned Playtech has also been nominated in 16 additional categories, including Innovation in Mobile, Live Casino Supplier, Mobile Gaming Software and even Platform of the Year – the most prestigious award that will be given at the ceremony, the nominations for which are shared by Bede Gaming, Bit8, EveryMatrix, GAN, NYX Gaming Group, OpenBet and SBTech. Microgaming is second when it comes to award nominations, competing for innovation in slot provision, poker network and seven more categories. NetEnt, a favourite of many slot players, is also up for nine categories, such as live casino supplier.
While the Trinity managed to score a nomination in many of the categories, for obvious reasons, they’re far from the only providers who managed to get numerous nods. Many more providers, such as OpenBet, Relax Gaming, Yggdrasil and Quickspin have also managed to rack up more than one nomination, though who the winner is will ultimately be decided on June 1st. We know we’ll be crossing our fingers for our favourites! What about you?
